As you know millions of people suffer from diabetes and renal disorders. Diabetes has affected my family in so many ways that I felt compelled to do something that could help them and others like them.  Therefore we decided to launch Suitable's Sugarfree and More Specialized Gift Baskets for people with Diabetic and Kidney Needs. 

For the last 9 years I have been a care giver for both my husband and his father who are diabetic and dialysis patients.  In addition I have two sisters who are diabetics and one as a result required a kidney transplant. She was extremely  fortunate  to receive a kidney from her husband  many other’s are not that lucky  Over the years I have found it extremely difficult to find the right product to meet their dietary nutritional and health needs all in one place.

When my sister received numerous get well gift baskets after her transplant, the first thing we noticed was that each of the gift baskets contained sweets or treats not suitable for a diabetic.

That along with the alarming number of people becoming diabetic and not realizing they are at risk of becoming kidney patients, I knew that more could be done to assist people in their choices.

Upon completing an enormous amount of research to find not only healthy foods and snack items we have found other products that we feel will aid in comfort and contentment. We have tried all products that will be on our product list and have chosen only those that we feel are best.

In addition, to the gift baskets, we have a Three Day Diabetic and Renal Emergency Kit. This kit is to be used in case of an emergency or a natural disaster when dialysis may not be available.  This kit includes grocery items with long a shelf life as well as a Three Day Suggested Meal Plan that has been recommended by the National Kidney Foundation. This emergency meal plan is very strict and is needed to control the buildup of toxins and fluids that can be life threatening. When Katrina hit Louisiana, hundreds of people were unable able to attend dialysis and as result many people lost their lives .This is a must have.  Giving this gift could possibly save a life.

It is our belief that we are providing a service that will not only aid in educating people about different products available to them, we are providing products and a service that could possibly save their lives.
